God is Real! Everything is under His control

I was born into a Christian family. I have always been fascinated with the things of God since I was a child, but I was shy and not quite good at expressing myself. Even during my secondary school days, I was transferred to a new school and did not know how to make new friends. As a result, I had no friends. With the encouragement of my mother, I prayed to God, and the Lord brought me a group of friends who didn’t just become my friends, but also taught me how to make friends with others.

After graduating from secondary school, I decided to continue my education in KL. Through this, God brought me to ECA, the most enthusiastic church I have ever seen in my life. It was at ECA where I learned how to serve people and God, be a part of the life of the church, and use my gifts and talents for church ministries. In this kind of environment, God began to expand my knowledge of Him. Every day as a college student, the Holy Spirit taught me to observe human interactions while I took public transport or the LRT. By the grace of God, I started to face my fears of meeting new people and as a result, I am no longer afraid of meeting strangers. I unknowingly went from a shy person to an extrovert who brought almost everyone I knew to church.

I also started to read the Bible more frequently and even memorize scriptures because I wanted to get to know God better. That is when I started song writing, purely changing the scriptures into songs so that I could remember or memorize God’s Word from the Bible.

Over the past ten years, God spoke to me about my future of becoming a song composer through different people, some who were speakers I have never met before or people I was not familiar with. Some prophesied that the songs I wrote will be recorded and used to bless other churches as well. In terms of song composing, I believe that it was due to my lack of training which has caused me to face failures, encounter many obstacles, and doubt myself, even up to a point where my faith towards God grew cold. Even so, God did not give up on me. In recent years, God has encouraged me in various ways. My husband and I began to return to God together. We got to know God once again and built a deeper relationship with Him. God is also beginning to restore our ability to hear and be sensitive to His voice.

In Matthew 17:20, it says, ‘”You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”’
Therefore, if we have not yet seen God work, we should take courage to challenge our faith until we see God move. Because of this scripture, I asked God and God gave me this song.

In conjunction with Easter Day, I take this opportunity to share this song with you. He is the true and living God, who rose from the dead to give us new life and lifts us up.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, ‘”For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”’

I also want to use this song to thank my Jesus. This song is about how true our God is, how everything is under His control, and how He loves us and cares for us.
